Regarding Sims, he's clearly playing better offensively than he has previously - he's never had a season with an ORat > 100, and right now he's around 125.

Part of it is very simple - he's finally making his FTs. He's also grabbing a lot more offensive rebounds and creating more assists in his time on the court than he has previously.

But I'm not convinced.

He did a ton of damage against Memphis after Tarik Black fouled out, and really struggled against Kansas, the only other team with legit size the Hoyas have played.

Also, let us not forget the great early season run he had last year before fading badly.

Playing Big East conference games tests bigs in a way the OOC never can - just ask Julian Vaughn. I don't think there's any way to know whether Henry can keep this up until we're well into conference play.

Any thoughts, now with a larger sample size, that Henry Sims has actually improved (as the eye test seems say) or is he producing the same just with more mintues?

We forced Young into some tougher shots in the second half. He's a pretty good player (Voted Summit League Preseason POY) but didn't have much in the way of help and ended up forcing some shots in the 2nd half.
